A Heritage Company
For nearly 100 years, Rogers' Sail Loft has served the boating communities of the South Coast of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. And for the last 85 of those years, we've worked out of the same loft in North Somerset.
It all started in 1928, when Joseph “Jo Jo” Rogers — who spent his days working in Boston's Charlestown Navy Yard — began making sails during his off-hours in the basement of his home in the Steep Brook section of Fall River's North End. Later relocating to Somerset, MA, Joseph took his grandson, Steven Mattos, under his wing as the business grew. Steven worked beside him for nearly a decade as an apprentice, the way sailmakers have learned the trade for generations, and Joseph passed down both his skills and his standards.
Today, Steve and his crew carry that tradition forward, producing handcrafted, bespoke marine canvas, sails, and upholstery of the highest quality. Whether you need a dodger, a bimini, a full enclosure, or a custom cover, Rogers' Sail Loft guarantees durable artisan products made to last.
